Our Trustees
Arjan Singh
Arjan Johal is currently studying Uniformed Protective Services at the College of Leicester. He is a volunteer for The Heera Foundation Mental Health Charity and has a great passion for promoting good wellbeing and mental health matters believing that ‘It’s ok not to be ok’ as long as you have the right resources and support around you and know where to turn to if needed. He is actively involved in events, and presentations on breaking stigma around mental health and actively raises funds for mental mental charities. His most recent challenge has been the Spartan Challenge where he successfully raised funds to support a No JudgeMENt initiative undertaken by The Heera Foundation relating to breaking stigma around male mental health.
Ria Kaur
Ria Kaur is currently studying History and Journalism at University. She
believes that mental health is just as important as physical health and can be affected at every stage in life, especially amongst young people. It is vital that mental well-being amongst students is monitored to ensure they are working with the best mindset as there is a correlation between mental health and academic performance. Students at university may struggle with such a new and pressurising environment and can feel alone, so such services should be encouraged amongst students. The most precious time we have is now, therefore any negative or poor mental wellbeing should not be left unresolved or ignored. She believes that it is important to talk to friends, family and take advantage of services that have been set up to help people deal with mental health issues. She believes that not only is our own mental well-being important but we should always be checking on our friends, families, and co-workers’ well-being.
Kajal Kaur
Having studied a degree in social work, Kajal now
works as a social worker across the East Midlands.
She has supported young people within her youth
club work and passionately believes in wellbeing and
children’s mental health.
Barinder Singh
Barinder Singh is one of our trustees. Having been on his own journey relating to drugs and alcohol, he turned things around and began to focus on his own personal development and then the wellbeing of others. Barinder runs ‘Respect Fitness’ gym and supports young people and adults to reach their full potential with their emotional and physical wellbeing. Activities include: kickboxing, boxing and mixed martial arts. His philosophy is that as human beings, we are here to help each other and he truly encompasses this within all aspects of his life. Barinder’s passion for reaching your true potential is also evident in his title as British Commonwealth European Champion in Kickboxing.
Ian Jarrams
Ian Jarrams, a trustee of Propserity, has been a World Association Kickboxing Champion and a former British Bodybuilding Finalist. He now runs ‘Jarrams Fitness’ and focuses on personal training and the wellbeing of others. He believes that it’s good to get people talking and the personal training offers this platform. He supports many in improving themselves and their wellbeing.

Sarah Hewitt
Sarah has had a long career in educational publishing and is also a published author and illustrator. She has always had a keen interest in mental health and wellbeing; her most popular children’s book ‘Grandad’, facilitates discussion when a loved one dies.
Sarah is a survivor of domestic abuse and uses her experiences to look for ways to help others to move through their own struggles. She believes in mindful empowerment to transform what may seem like hopeless situations, and look to lead by example, demonstrating how channelling your feelings into something you love can move you forward. She is a champion of neurodiversity in her personal and professional life and her latest picture book, publishing soon, is focused on empowerment to ‘be yourself’ based on Sarah’s own experiences, living a life with dyspraxia.
Sarah believes in the removal of ‘labels’ and celebrating people’s differences, as she is only too aware of the tragic consequences of society’s pressure to conform. Sarah lost her own daughter in 2019 to suicide after a long battle with her mental health and her own experiences of living through testing situations, offer hope and reassurance that there is life the other side of tragedy and grief.
Sarah also firmly believes in the power of the smile- laughter is definitely the best medicine!
Andrew Flint
After serving for over 30 years in state secondary schools at all levels of
seniority including headteacher for five years, he then took on the role of
Principal and Whole School Director of a large, all ages British school in
the Middle East. After two successful years, he moved back to the UK to
take on the role of Principal of a private college catering for the varied
needs of international students seeking progression to UK universities,
alternative provision pupils at secondary level and a small private
nursery. His greatly varied career journey has given me experience of the many ups and downs of professional life and experience of the tremendous pressure under which people work. This has taught him the overwhelming need for kindness in the workplace and for offering support which is both practical and attends to people’s emotional well-being. He believes that taking care of our colleagues is vital and so, always starting by listening with empathy, recognising the need for support and then agreeing appropriate next steps it is vital that we take appropriate action whenever the need arises.

Rupen Popat
15 years experience in teaching martial arts I am committed to helping people of all ages to develop their skills in combat but more importantly build confidence, develop their fitness and mentally make them into a stronger human being.
Having been through mental health myself and know the struggles I know first hand how to help as best as I can to the best of my ability to strengthen an individual both physically and mentally
Harry Birch
Harry is a keen football and cricket supporter, currently in an apprenticeship and exploring all the avenues that are available for training and development. He has always found it difficult to speak up, and often would shy away from opportunities because of his anxiety. Once the thoughts of anxiety start to creep in, seeds of doubt are sown that can build into really stressful situations. Through Prosperity CIO, Harry wishes to encourage people who have experienced such anxiety that it’s ok to reach out and seek support.
The key for him is that he continually challenges himself to learn and
create. Even when he can see that his own barriers start to build, he
knows that he can overcome them with perseverance, patience and
kindness.
Rico Khunti
Rico is 3 years into his fitness journey combining a mixture of BODYWEIGHT movements such as calisthenics and the addition of his boxing training. He believes in physical activity is linked with mental strength and that Mental health training is just as important as physical training. He wants people and especially men to know that opening up about their mental health struggles isn’t a weakness it is a strength that can be used to not only help themselves but to also help the people around them.
Avinash Patel
Avinash is currently studying a levels at sixth form college. He wants to promote wellbeing and mental health particularly in young people as he feels its as important as physical health. He want to help try de stigmatise mental health and seeking help and promote awareness.
Jax Bull
Jax Bull is currently studying to become a mental health counsellor, specialising in anxiety and depression. Having had personal experience dealing with both in her past, she understands first-hand how overwhelming and challenging it can be for a person to navigate the challenges depression and anxiety bring. Jax is a strong and passionate advocate for mental health awareness and is dedicated to helping people transform their lives by improving their mental well-being and assisting them in their journey to becoming the best version of themselves to find peace and joy again.
